Looking back down from about 10,000' where the trail
switchbacks at a rockslide chute, we could see the sunrise
creeping along although the trail was still in the shadow
of Humphreys Peak.

From the Humphreys/Agassiz saddle, we saw the ridgeline
leading up to the summit of Humphreys Peak. We could also
see the false summits along the way.

As we hiked along, there were three of these
false summits to skirt as the trail contoured along
and just below the ridgeline.

At points along the ridgeline trail, you can see out to
the southeast and are presented with an expansive view of the
San Francisco Peaks.

At last, the true summit hump along the ridgeline. For scale,
note the two hikers about halfway up the final summit pitch.
